Who
A dark, melodic voice — open to almost any kind of project, and looking for the next one.
I've lived at two ends of the spectrum: the dark, melancholic ballads and indie folk of Happy People, and the art rock and psychedelic hard rock of The Pyramids. Around that I pull from a wide well — Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Doors and Bowie; Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits; Edward Sharpe and Tinariwen — and I'm equally happy on a ballad, a folk tune, something jazzier or something heavier. I sing lead, write the toplines and write the words, and I can build a melody and lyric over someone else's track from scratch. I write in English.
